Born May 12, Baby Bear (borrowed from the classic "Three Bears" story) is Sesame Street's resident artist. While his friends only see a drawing of his imaginary friend, Hero Guy, the superhero leaps off the page and soars into Baby Bear's fertile imagination. Through this relationship, children see how a character they shape can end up shaping them, too.
Young ones can relate to Baby Bear on a number of levels, particularly when it comes to his difficulty with sharing and his struggle to master adult language. He's quickly made his mark with his adventurous spirit and with his role as a wonderful older brother to baby sister, Curly Bear. (She calls him Bebo, pronounced "Bee-bo.") When he tries new things, like branching out on the foods he eats, he encourages Curly Bear to follow in his footsteps and experiment, too.
Baby Bear can be seen at Sesame Place in the exciting "Rock Around the Block" parade.
