OPENING SPRING 2009
Langhorne, PA (Oct 1, 2008) — The Count is very busy these days as he counts up
to 90 — the number of play elements in the new attraction opening at Sesame Place
in the Spring of 2009! The largest new attraction in the theme park's history, The
Count's Splash Castle will be a multi-level interactive waterplay attraction that
will stimulate imagination and provide exciting hands-on entertainment for the entire
family to enjoy. The attraction will span over 38,000 square feet and feature over
90 play elements including a 1,000 gallon eight-foot tipping bucket, multiple water
slides, valves, levers, water curtains, bridges, hydro blasters, bubbler jets, bongos,
hose jets, water wheels and much more.
Robert J. Caruso, executive vice president and general manager of Sesame Place,
is looking forward to the 2009 season and the addition of this exciting new attraction.
"The Count's Splash Castle is the biggest attraction in the history of Sesame Place,
and we are very proud to add it to our line-up of family-fun experiences at the
park," he said. "Water attractions are very popular with our guests. The number
of features in The Count's Splash Castle attraction will provide hours of interactive
water play entertainment."
Sesame Place, the nation's only theme park based entirely on Sesame Street, provides
exciting, enriching and thrilling experiences for families with young children.
Building memories to last a lifetime, the attractions range from such thrill rides
as Blast Off in Elmo's World, more water rides like the surprise-packed adventures
on Sky Splash in Twiddlebug Land and play activities like the challenging three-story
high Nets n' Climbs in Big Bird's Court. Another highlight at the park is the chance
to get up and dance with Elmo, Big Bird and all their Sesame Street pals who perform
in musical shows throughout the day and in the crowd-pleasing "Rock Around the Block
Parade".
Sesame Place is located near Philadelphia, in Langhorne, PA and is considered the
ideal first theme park experience for young children two to seven years of age.
